Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide basic care as directed by RNs or LPNs, including turning and repositioning patients.
- Feed patients and ensure they remain hydrated by offering water or other fluids.
- Observe and report any changes in patient behavior, physical condition, or symptoms to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
- Document care provided and patient responses accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Compassionate, patient, and able to work well under pressure.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move patients as needed.
