Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and present data to physicians.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) efficiently and confidentially.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized examination environment.
- Greet patients warmly and manage front-desk administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Proficiency in medical software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
