Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and recording accurate medical histories.
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures, including phlebotomy and EKG administration.
- Manage patient flow in the clinic to ensure a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and accurately process and handle specimens.
- Maintain patient records and update the electronic health records (EHR) system promptly.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and preventative care plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred but we are open to qualified new graduates.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, as needed.
