Your Role:
You will be the frontline of patient care, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to treatment follow-up.
Responsibilities
- Perform Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Patient Intake: Conduct initial patient assessments, update medical histories, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist Providers: Accompany physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage appointment scheduling, verify insurance coverage, and process billing documentation.
- Lab Procedures: Collect and process blood samples and other lab tests following strict safety protocols.
- Infection Control: Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification preferred.
- License: Valid NY State Medical Assistant license required.
- Experience: 1+ years of clinical experience in a medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Compliance: Strong understanding of HIPAA privacy laws and medical ethics.
