Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking medical histories and measuring vital signs.
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient flow.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKG procedures as required.
- Manage patient records accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Instruct patients on post-treatment care, medications, and lifestyle adjustments.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized examination room environment.
- Handle patient inquiries with empathy and resolve issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in EMR software (Epic, AthenaHealth, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume clinic.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
