Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and record accurate data in electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Greet patients, verify insurance information, and prepare them for appointments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment for examination rooms.
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and filing medical records.
- Provide education to patients regarding medications, diets, and follow-up care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from an accredited institution.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) is a plus.
- Must possess a valid State of Ohio Driver's License.
