Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and verify demographic and insurance information accurately.
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, respiration rate).
- Prepare patients for examination and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis and EKGs.
- Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
- Ensure examination rooms are stocked, sanitized, and ready for patient use.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
