Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient vitals checks, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight, accurately reporting any anomalies to physicians.
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with confidentiality.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures, ensuring a seamless clinical workflow.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, strictly adhering to sterilization and safety protocols.
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision, strictly following safety guidelines.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and manage appointment scheduling to optimize clinic efficiency.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) is preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is highly desirable.
