Responsibilities
- Perform routine medical tests and procedures, including EKGs, vaccinations, and blood draws.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures as needed.
- Manage patient records accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and wellness tips.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized examination room environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume medical setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health record software (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliant).
