Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team regarding patient status and needs.
- Change linens and assist with light housekeeping duties in patient rooms.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong desire to work in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to obtain CNA certification (training provided).
- CPR certification is a plus but not mandatory for this entry-level position.
