Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake, record vital signs, and update medical histories accurately.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of supplies.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer injections, and assist with phlebotomy.
- Manage administrative duties including patient billing, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered communication to all visitors and patients.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
