Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant will perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of our medical facility. You will work closely with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Prepare patients and examination rooms for medical procedures and provider visits.
- Assist providers with examinations and minor office procedures.
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations under the direction of a licensed provider.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently.
- Manage patient flow, answer phones, and schedule appointments.
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) with precise documentation.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but entry-level candidates with strong training will be considered.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
