Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient populations
- Process and transport specimens to the laboratory following strict protocols
- Maintain sterile equipment and ensure HIPAA compliance in all procedures
- Provide patient education and comfort during blood collection procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation with precision
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Perform quality control checks on phlebotomy equipment
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical setting
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal complications
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficient in EHR systems and specimen tracking software
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Background check and drug screen clearance required
