Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Monitor patient progress and document clinical observations accurately in electronic health records
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision and safety protocols
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and rapid patient condition changes
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
- Minimum 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competence
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
