Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based patient care across diverse medical-surgical units
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions for critical patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize treatment protocols
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation standards
- Educate patients/families on health management and discharge planning
- Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and JCAHO regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license (compact license accepted)
- BSN preferred (ADN with 2+ years experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certifications required (TNCC preferred)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience (ICU/ER highly valued)
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Demonstrated critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and cultural competency
