Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health status.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding medical conditions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic health records.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations and assist in code blue or trauma responses when necessary.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and Joint Commission standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Tennessee.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (preferred).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
