Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Take patient vitals, medical histories, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Procedures: Assist providers with basic procedures, injections, and venipuncture as directed.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient check-in/check-out processes, update electronic health records (EHR), and handle insurance verification.
- Lab Work: Collect and process specimens, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to the lab.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Sanitation: Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or MA certification preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; Phlebotomy certification a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and strong computer literacy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
