Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy services
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clinical supply inventory
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- New York State medical assistant registration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations
