Job Overview:
The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in our clinic, bridging the gap between clinical care and administrative support. You will ensure our patients receive the highest standard of service from check-in to discharge.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including vital signs, weight, and height measurements.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during patient examinations.
- Administer medications and injections as ordered by providers.
- Draw blood and collect lab specimens for testing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and charts.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide education regarding treatments and procedures.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-3 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
