Responsibilities
- Manage patient registration, check-in/check-out processes, and appointment scheduling
- Handle insurance verification, billing inquiries, and medical record maintenance
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and wait times
- Maintain HIPAA compliance for all patient interactions and data handling
- Process payments, collect co-pays, and manage daily cash reconciliation
- Answer multi-line phone system with professionalism and triage urgent calls
- Prepare and maintain administrative documentation and supply inventory
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical office certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience in medical reception or healthcare administration
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, NextGen, or similar)
- Exceptional communication skills and customer service orientation
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance protocols
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments with attention to detail
- Valid Hawaii driver's license and reliable transportation
