Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control systems and order pharmaceutical supplies efficiently
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records with HIPAA compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Assist in training new pharmacy technicians and maintaining compliance protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize medication therapy management
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (CPhT)
- Minimum 2 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and pharmacy law
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or PTCB certification preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and electronic health records
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
