Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Verify insurance coverage and process claims
- Maintain precise patient records and inventory systems
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy management
- Provide exceptional customer service to diverse patient populations
- Ensure compliance with FDA and NY State Board regulations
- Assist with compounding sterile preparations
Qualifications
- Active NY State Pharmacy Technician license
- PTEB certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong attention to detail and math skills
- Proficient in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Background check and drug screening required
