Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using ESI protocols within 5 minutes of arrival
- Collaborate with physicians on critical patient prioritization
- Document electronic health records with 100% accuracy
- Provide emergency care interventions per standing orders
- Maintain patient flow efficiency during high-volume periods
- Train new staff on triage protocols and department standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX)
- Minimum 2 years ER/trauma experience required
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- ENPC or TNCC certification preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Proficiency with Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a significant plus
