Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions using standardized triage protocols and prioritize care based on acuity
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely interventions
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Provide clear communication to patients and families about wait times and treatment plans
- Monitor department flow and adjust staffing assignments as needed during peak hours
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital safety regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities in high-pressure situations
