Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment for overnight procedures
- Respond to patient inquiries and triage urgent concerns during night hours
- Coordinate with on-call physicians and emergency services
- Manage inventory of medical supplies for overnight operations
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced healthcare setting
- BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills for night-shift patient interactions
- Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7am)
- Valid Indiana state medical assistant license
