Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Prioritize patient flow in high-volume emergency department setting
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Accurately document patient information in electronic health records
- Provide initial interventions and stabilize critical patients
- Oversee patient waiting area and communicate status updates
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Wisconsin (WI RN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills with ESI proficiency
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress situations
- BSN or nursing degree from accredited program
