Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and determine care priorities using standardized triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers during critical moments
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while documenting patient assessments and interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate timely patient care pathways
- Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Monitor department flow and implement process improvements for efficient patient throughput
- Adhere to all regulatory standards, infection control protocols, and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license with active status
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities
- Strong proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while maintaining compassion
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional off-site responsibilities
