Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) protocols
- Accurately triage patients based on acuity levels and established medical criteria
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient flow
- Document patient encounters in EMR systems with precision and timeliness
- Provide clear communication to patients and families regarding wait times and care plans
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, JCAHO, and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of California
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or urgent care experience
- ACLS/BLS certification required; TNCC preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong proficiency in electronic medical records (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Ability to remain calm and effective under high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
