Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases based on urgency and severity
- Provide accurate medical advice via phone and in-person triage
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases immediately
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and home treatment options
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX)
- Minimum 3 years of emergency department or urgent care experience
- ACLS/BLS certifications required (TNCC preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EHR systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
