Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or family members immediately.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to improve the client's quality of life.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and run errands as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for the client.
- Document daily care activities and hours worked accurately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Current state certification as a CNA or Home Health Aide is preferred but not always required for entry-level caregivers.
- CPR and First Aid certification is required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- A genuine passion for helping others and patience.
