Responsibilities
- Provide daily personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient conditions, and medication responses
- Assist with mobility transfers, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises
- Support meal preparation and feeding assistance as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and communicate care changes to nursing staff
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain clean environments
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and families
Qualifications
- Active California CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in long-term care or hospital setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work day/night/weekend shifts
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
