Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals while respecting dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Document patient activities and changes in condition in medical records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and physicians regarding patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized patient care environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of Georgia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) required.
- Physical ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
