Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the RN or charge nurse immediately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and respect.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, listening to their concerns and offering reassurance.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Follow strict infection control protocols and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA Certification and valid state licensure in Tennessee.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
