Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring a comforting presence.
- Assist nurses and physicians with procedures and patient care plans as directed.
- Maintain patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems with high accuracy.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients and visitors.
- Perform basic wound care and assist with mobility using proper body mechanics.
Qualifications
- Current New York State CNA License (or eligibility to obtain one).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR/BLS Certification is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
