Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, temperatures, and blood pressure levels accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to all infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff regarding patient status and concerns.
- Administer medication as directed by licensed nurses, ensuring safety and compliance.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in North Carolina.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- CPR and BLS certification is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to perform the essential functions of the job, including standing for long periods and lifting patients.
