Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist registered nurses and physicians with medical procedures, treatments, and medication administration under supervision.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the charge nurse or medical staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care plans, updates, and interactions according to facility standards and HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license currently active and in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods as required by patient care duties.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred but not always required.
