Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and record medical histories
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ensure the examination rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patients
- Provide patient education on health topics and treatment plans
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or similar)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting
- CPR and BLS certification (must be current)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
