Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- Current, active CNA Certification (Texas CNA-1) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication skills and ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in a nursing home or hospital setting preferred.
