Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient conditions, and care activities
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques
- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare team to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Maintain clean, organized patient environments and infection control protocols
- Support emotional and social needs of patients during overnight hours
- Respond promptly to patient call systems and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active New York State CNA certification required
- Minimum 6 months of recent CNA experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible night shifts (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Compassionate approach to patient care with attention to detail
- Must pass background check and drug screening
