Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor patient health status closely, record vital signs accurately, and report any changes or concerns to the Registered Nurse immediately.
- Assist with medication administration and documentation as strictly prescribed by facility protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient needs and updates.
- Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation duties to ensure a comfortable patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Nebraska CNA Certification (or eligible for reciprocity in Texas).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the night shift.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
