Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring from beds to chairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Observe and report any changes in patient behavior or physical condition to the RN or supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document daily care activities and patient interactions accurately in medical records.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required, valid in the state of Oklahoma.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
