Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to patients including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and medications administered in the electronic health record.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and active California CNA License (CNA I or II).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach.
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
