Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
- Document patient care activities, including intake, output, and changes in condition, in accordance with facility policies.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and physicians to report any changes in a patient's condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all residents and patients.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA certification (State of Arizona).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including standing for long periods and lifting.
