Responsibilities
- Provide Compassionate Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Support patients in transferring, walking, and positioning safely using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Medication Assistance: Prepare and administer medications as directed by RNs, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and documentation.
- Document Care Activities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Communicate Effectively: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
Qualifications
- Active CNA License: Must hold a current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Florida.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Flexibility: Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays is essential.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required by the job.
