Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient comfort
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Maintain sterilization protocols and inventory of dental supplies
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal infection control standards
- Provide chairside assistance and post-operative instructions to patients
- Schedule appointments and manage digital patient records
- Collaborate with dental team to ensure seamless patient experiences
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license (NM state)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental software (Eaglesoft/Dentrix preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification required
- Positive attitude and commitment to patient care excellence
