Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist and hygienists during examinations, procedures, and cleanings with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and organized.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) in strict adherence to safety and compliance standards.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Manage patient records, update charts accurately, and maintain electronic health records (EHR).
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient reminders, and assist with front-desk coordination as needed.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant license or certification in Missouri.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience as a dental assistant (1+ years preferred, but willing to train the right candidate).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor tasks.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dexis) is a plus.
