Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery, restorations, and orthodontics
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures
- Perform chairside assistance with suctioning, instrument transfer, and patient comfort
- Maintain accurate patient records and digital charting
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide post-operative instructions and follow-up care support
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a busy dental practice
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Excellent communication skills and bedside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
- Spanish language proficiency highly valued
