Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient visits
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Update digital patient records accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate with front office staff to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control standards
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to put patients at ease
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
