Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and cosmetic treatments
- Perform chairside duties including suction, instrument transfer, and patient monitoring
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize equipment following OSHA guidelines
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory levels for dental supplies
- Update patient electronic health records and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education on oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Current Minnesota Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (DEXIS/Sirona) and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Exceptional chairside manner and ability to calm anxious patients
- Strong knowledge of dental materials and instruments
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-volume practice
- Valid Minnesota driver's license and reliable transportation
