Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine medical urgency
- Accurately document patient encounters in EMR systems following HIPAA protocols
- Coordinate with physicians and specialists for appropriate patient disposition
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding self-care or emergency protocols
- Maintain efficient patient flow while prioritizing critical cases
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for complex patient management
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous training
Qualifications
- Active Arizona RN license with minimum 2 years clinical experience
- BLS/ACLS certification required, TNCC preferred
- Proven triage experience in emergency or urgent care settings
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Spanish bilingual certification highly desirable
